Ever since I discovered how eating healthy and exercising can produce feel-good results and really boost my confidence and self-esteem, I’m mindful of what I put in my body, especially when I’m trying to lean out for a particular event or occasion.
I’ll admit it, eating healthy can sometimes be a drag, especially if you know what “unhealthy” tastes like. But, eating healthy can be just as yummy and interesting!
If you’re like me though – always on the go, sometimes don’t have time to prepare your meals for whatever reason – you’ll need to grab something quick, but you still want it to align with your healthy eating.
Have no fear – Quest™ Nutrition is here! Maybe you’ve heard of them, maybe you haven’t, but I just discovered these delicious protein bars late last year – and I’m in love! It’s my go-to food if I’m on the run or don’t feel like eating what it is I have already prepared.
They have a plethora of mouth-watering flavors: Apple Pie, Chocolate Brownie, Coconut Cashew, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Cinnamon Roll, Lemon Cream Pie, Mixed Berry Bliss, Peanut Butter Supreme, PB & J, Strawberry Cheesecake, and one of my favorites Vanilla Almond Crunch!
Nutrition Facts
Let me break down the nutrition facts of the Vanilla Almond Crunch bar for you just to give you an idea of what’s in it:
Calories: 200
Calories from Fat: 80
Total Fat: 9g
Saturated Fat: 0.5g
Cholesterol: <5mg
Sodium: 360mg
Potassium: 135mg
Total Carbohydrate: 22g
Dietary Fiber: 18g

Ingredients
Now, here are the ingredients:
Protein Blend (Whey Protein Isolate, Milk Protein Isolate), Isomalto-Oligosaccharide (100% Natural Prebiotic Fiber derived from plant sources), Almond Butter, Dry Roasted Almonds, Raw Almonds, Water, Natural Flavors, Sea Salt, Lo Han Guo (natural sweetener derived from an herb), Sucralose.
Guess what? They’re gluten free, too!
Seriously, nothing but awesomeness! At first the 22g of carbohydrate threw me off, but then I noticed how much dietary fiber (18g) is in one bar and I couldn’t believe my eyes. That means that there are only 4g of non-fiber carbs, which are all from nuts, not sugar. As their packaging states, “the only true low carb bar on the market”.
I even eat these bars during my competition prep! There are plenty of other national level competitors – pros even – who eat these bars during their prep.
